M2M (Machine To Machine) means machine to machine communication, from mobile to machine and machine to mobile.
M2M describes networking of remote machines. M2M communications take place between the central control system (server) and everyday products (sales machines, vehicles, office machines, industrial and environmental sensors).
These communication systems enable all kinds of data to be transferred to and from the remote machine. These data can be acquired from a status reading (eg. temperature, level) or enable monitoring of a home automation system.
